Staffordshire painter and designer Anita Harris began her career at Pool Pottery where she became their Head of Design for ten years, designing many successful ranges for many top stores including Harrods and Tiffany. After leaving Poole she designed for Moorcroft’s Cobridge Stoneware before opening her own art pottery studio in 2005. Today Anita and her son Peter produce beautiful hand painted vibrant pieces which are collected worldwide.
Peter Harris complements his mothers skills perfectly bringing a host of skills to the business following his studies in Art and Design at Salisbury College Of Art and then at Sarum Metalcraft. Peter’s is now renowned for his sculpture metal work and design skills.
Anita Harris Art Pottery is renowned for colour which their stunning layering of reactive glazes achieve often described as living colour. Their pieces are never mass produced and all are entirely hand painted by Anita or Peter and attract collectors worldwide. Each piece is personally signed and stamped
Not only do Anita Harris produce their own exquisite collections and much sought after, one off pieces and trials they offer a unique design service for individuals or corporate customers giving them a chance to design their own bespoke piece or range.
