With its secure mounting baton (31cm long), this log nest box can be easily attached to a tree, wall or fence. Position it 2–4 metres high in a sheltered location to offer birds greater protection from wind, rain and predators while creating an environment similar to their natural nesting habitats.
To maintain a safe and hygienic nesting site, clean the bird box once the last brood has fledged. Access is simple—unscrew part of the box to reach the interior, remove the old nest and clear out any parasites before the next pair moves in.
