WWT Special Edition Single Cask - Celebrating our partnership with Glengoyne
Limited Stock available.
A remarkable 16 Year Old whisky celebrating our partnership with Glengoyne Distillery.
We are very proud of our partnership with Glengoyne, the first Scotch whisky distillery to build its own water treatment wetlands on-site. Our partnership has a natural synergy – the name ‘Glengoyne’ is derived from ‘Glen Guin’ or ‘valley of the geese’ - and so it is no surprise that with more than 12 years of successful collaboration, Glengoyne continues to support a number of different WWT projects, from the Blue Recovery Fund, to the Wetlands Can! Campaign – calling for the creation of 100,000 hectares of healthy wetlands in the UK - to direct sponsorship of the WWT Caerlaverock reserve. Visit wwt.org.uk/who-we-partner-with/glengoyne for more details about the work carried out from this partnership.
We are proud of our exclusive whisky partnership and have strengthened that relationship still further by releasing a second charity whisky expression: The Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask.
A rare single cask release celebrating Glengoyne’s partnership with WWT. This unpeated Highland single malt offers a rich, natural flavour profile and supports vital wetland conservation across the UK.
A collector’s item, this is a limited release of just 500 bottles featuring a wildlife’s artist’s vision of the distillery, the surrounding wetlands and the iconic Glengoyne geese after which the brand is named. The release of this exceptional whisky expression follows the launch in 2021 of the first Wetlands Single Cask Whisky.
By purchasing a bottle of this whisky, you are supporting the charity and joining us in a celebration of the wetlands created by the Glengoyne Distillery as part of its commitment to the environment.

The Unhurried Story: Production & Provenance
Glengoyne is renowned for its commitment to slow distillation and natural maturation. This single cask was selected to mark our exclusive partnership with the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, a collaboration rooted in shared values of patience and preservation.
Distilled slowly in our copper pot stills and matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead, this whisky reflects the richness of the wetlands it helps protect. Every bottle contributes to WWT’s mission to restore and safeguard vital wetland habitats across the UK.

-
Palate: Bold sherry sweetness, treacle toffee, and warming spice. Nicely aged feel and charmingly Glengoyne, tangerine, peach, toffee, cola, almond thins, subtle spice, malt, sweet oak.
